A guy named Aftli has just wrote an extensive guide on how to use a Task Killer app on your Android phone for maximum effect.
I have used this guide and my phone works perfectly and I am proud to announce that I have yet to have a lag on my phone since I used this guide. Also my battery has been draining slower than it has been without this guide. (Do note I do not have enough evidence to support the second claim but I will post it ASAP)
Thanks again Aftli for writing this guide and I hope this guide helps other as well.
I have found a battery trick posted by Capnmal on Reddit. Here it is word for word:
It may seem crazy, but doing the following each day will extend your battery life by several hours. I don’t know how it works, but I stumbled across it on an Android forum and it works like a charm for my Incredible:
- Charge the phone overnight. Keep it on during the charge.
- When the charge light is green, unplug it and turn it off. Charge it again until the light is green (it takes about 30 minutes).
- When the light is green again, unplug it, then plug it in again. Let it charge until the light turns green a third time (about 10 minutes).
- Unplug it when the light is green and turn it on. You should notice that the battery lasts several hours longer.
The only downside to these steps is that you have to do them every day, but if you use this process in the morning while you’re doing your morning rituals, it doesn’t seem like as much of an inconvenience.
I have yet to try this out but when I get the chance I will. Thanks Capnmal!
Don’t update your HTC Evo with the new OTA update today! It will ruin your root and your lovely battery life. Wait until unrevoked comes out with an update! I will post when this happens!
